| Located at the midlands of Sidama, Yirgalem (Dale), the
Furra Institute of Development Studies is the modern educational and
training institution catering for the development of human resources not
only for Sidama but also for other countries of the region. Furra Institute
is run by the training division of the Sidama
Development Corporation.
The Institute was founded in 1997. It is one
of the vital Sidama teaching institutions for participatory integrated
development studies. The Institute's gender and development and micro
finance training are based on sound experience on the field.
